The Audiobojang Podcast
I'm a technology geek and a gadget freak. No, ifs, ands or buts about it. If it's shiny, I want it. And you can bet that I'll finagle some way of getting it.
But let's face it: with the economy the way it is today, you've got to spend your money wisely. Most people can't afford to buy each and every gadget willy-nilly. Also, there's nothing worse than the feeling of crushing disappointment you get when that gadget you've been hotly anticipating turns out to be... well, not so hot after all.
So how do you know what to buy? Sure, there are plenty of gadget review sites out there, not to mention the product ratings found at online stores. But can you really trust these? How do you know that they weren't written by some corporate shill with their own agenda and a big fat paycheck?
My friends, I am here to help you! Within this podcast (and its associated website), I intend to fully document my experiences with every gadget or gizmo I lay my hands on. I'll call out the good, the bad, AND the ugly, and I'll pull no punches. My hope is that by listening to and reading about my experiences, it will better inform you and help you with your gadget buying decisions. And maybe entertain and even (gasp!) inform you a little along the way.
I'm not a professional gadget reviewer. I'm just your average computer and gadget nut. So my reviews WON'T be filled with inscrutable statistics or so much techno-babble that it'll make your head spin. I'll try to make things as clear and down-to-earth as possible. I will also give each gadget the loving attention it deserves - in other words, I'll spend real time to actually use all of its features; I won't just play with it for a few minutes and instantly pass judgment.
But, most of all, I promise you this: I will not accept any form of compensation ("payola") from anybody. Money, free dinners, trips to the Bahamas... I won't take any of it. Not even free pens or refrigerator magnets! I am all about journalistic integrity and ethics here.
So sit back, grab your favorite beverage, and enjoy - you're in for a wild gadget-filled ride!
