Co-sponsored by Chicago magazine and 98.7WFMT radio, hosted by Lookingglass Theatre in the Water Tower Water Works, Chicago's most prestigious author interview series was inaugurated in September 2004. Since then, dozens of internationally-renowned writers have come to Chicago to participate in the unique collaboration combining a column in Chicago magazine, an hour-long, audience-attended interview at Lookingglass Theatre, and a simultaneous broadcast on 98.7WFMT radio. Books are sold by Seminary Co-Op bookstore; admission is free and open to the public by reservation.
Victoria Lautman is host and executive producer of the series, selecting the authors, conducting the interviews, and writing the magazine column. She was a host and contributor on Chicago Public Radio for twenty years, Chicago editor for Metropolitan Home magazine, Art & Auction, and Architectural Record, and her articles have appeared in Interview, Architectural Digest, Elle Decor, the Chicago Tribune, USA Today, and many other publications.
