Jundo Cohen (b. 1960) is a Sōtō Zen Priest, founder and teacher of the Treeleaf Zendo, a Soto Zen Sangha located in Tsukuba, Japan (with Taigu Turlur, its other teacher). Jundo Cohen was ordained in 2002 and subsequently received Dharma Transmission from Master Gudo Wafu Nishijima, and is a member of the Soto Zen Buddhist Association and American Zen Teachers Association. Treeleaf Zendo was designed specifically as an online practice place for Zen practitioners who cannot easily commute to a Zen Center due to health concerns, living in remote areas, or work, childcare and family needs, and seeks to provide Zazen sittings, retreats, discussion, interaction with a teacher, and all other activities of a Zen Buddhist Sangha, all fully online. Members now sit in over 40 countries. The focus is Shikantaza "Just Sitting" Zazen as instructed by the 13th Century Japanese Master, Eihei Dogen. Jundo and Taigu's talks and Zazen sittings are featured in this podcast.

Behavioral addictions, such as pathological gambling, kleptomania, pyromania, compulsive buying and compulsive sexual behavior, represent significant public health concerns and are associated with high rates of psychiatric comorbidity and mortality. Although research into the biology of these behaviors is still in an early stage, recent advances in our understanding of motivation, reward, and addiction, have provided substantial insight into the possible pathophysiology of these disorders. Biochemical, functional neuroimaging, genetic studies, and treatment research have all suggested a strong neurobiological link between behavioral addictions and substance use disorders. Given the substantial co-occurrence of these groups of disorders, improved understanding of their relationship has important implications not only for understanding further the neurobiology of both categories of disorders but also for improving prevention and treatment strategies.

On behalf of the Planning Committee at the Indigenous Wellness Research Institute at the University of Washington, it is our great honor and pleasure to offer podcasts of the Fourth Biennial Conference of the International Network of Indigenous Health Knowledge and Development (INIHKD). This year's theme was "Knowing our Roots: Indigenous Medicines, Health Knowledges and Best Practices," and we have attracted the most respected indigenous health researchers, scholars, policy-makers and health practitioners dedicated to improving the health of indigenous peoples in Australia, New Zealand, Canada and the United States, as well as other regions of the globe. All of us are more-than-aware that indigenous populations worldwide have remarkably similar health trends, status, and diseases, as well as environmental conditions that contribute to health disparities. There are striking differences as well, particularly with respect to health policy responses. It is our hope and desire that the sharing of many different approaches, experiences and results will lead to creative, culture-centered solutions and best practices to address indigenous health concerns. Conference activities are broadly themed to further the: Building of indigenous research capacity, partnerships and workforce; Sharing of innovative, traditional and contemporary indigenous knowledges, especially with respect to culturally-grounded interventions and evidenced-based "best and promising practices"; Identification of successful indigenous health policy solutions; and Sharing of ethical, indigenous-based research protocols and methodologies. Keynote speakers highlighted critical issues and present how the implementation of both traditional and new knowledges are having a discernable and profound effect on improving the lives of indigenous peoples. The organizers are particularly pleased to highlight two dozen keynote speakers during the five-day conference. The Conference venue, Kiana Lodge on the Suquamish Nation, is reflective of the natural bounty and rich cultural heritage of this beautiful region of North America. We hope that the local tradition of ensuring the spiritual and physical well-being of the environment, its creatures and its human inhabitants will be reflected during the Conference, and more importantly, reflected when you return home to your roots after the Conference.

Three Angels Broadcasting Network (3ABN) is the “Mending Broken People Network,” a 24-hour Christian television and radio network. 3ABN’s focus is to present programming which will reach people right where they are hurting. 3ABN offers divorce recovery programs, drug and alcohol rehabilitation, cooking and health programs, stop smoking and weight loss, programs that deal with children and family issues, organic gardening, natural home remedies, gospel music programs, as well as a variety of inspirational themes from the Bible for children and adults.
Today, surrounded by the rolling farmland of Southern Illinois, 3ABN beams its television and radio programming to eight satellites which carry it to every inhabited continent. 3ABN is the second largest Christian network in North America (in regard to numbers of owned and operated UHF stations). 3ABN’s “down-home” approach and the absence of large fundraising efforts or telethons holds a special appeal for its viewers.
3ABN is not owned, operated or funded by any church, denomination or organization, so people from all cultures and backgrounds appreciate 3ABN programming. Many of 3ABN’s employees and volunteers are members of the Seventh-day Adventist Church.
