Né de parents musiciens, Mervyn se passionne très vite pour la musique et découvre dans les années 80 des groupes comme dépêche mode, cure, inxs, ... il fait ses débuts sur l'acid house, et se perfectionne ensuite sur la techno. Depuis, il partage son amour de la musique électronique avec ses pots Matt's (missfeat), Louis de bourbon, Zentrax, et participe à la création du collectif "electronikcircus". Avant-gardiste dans l'âme, Mervyn nous livre des sets minimal électro dans lesquels il aime associer mélodie et groov. Son plaisir est d'emmener le public dans un voyage électronique futuriste. Il s'est fait remarqué aux côtés d'artistes reconnus tels que: Neil Landstrum, Jack de Marseille, Torgull, Stephanovitch, Sascha Funke... et ses modèles sont : Sven Väth, Ricardo Villalobos, James Holden, Nathan Fake, Matthew Johnson, Tiefschwarz, Laurent Garnier, Ritchie Hawtin, Green Velvet, Marc Romboy, Gui Boratto, Matthew Dear, and my friends ... Matt's commence la musique à l'âge de 17 ans. Ses influences sont le Hip Hop, le Funk, la New Wave et les maîtres Plastikman et Laurent Garnier. Dj aux sonorités minimales, son tempo ralentit, s'accélére puis de nouveau ralentit... Il nous fait voyager et nous raconte son histoire avec ses montées et ses nappes virevoltantes. Une puissance, un esprit qui marque sa musique. On retrouve New Order à travers une ligne de basse, Miss Kittin dans l'électro, du groove style Mathias Tanzmann, de la house façon Loco Dice ou Ricardo Villalobos dans des titres plus techno (Sven Väth), et une mélancolie New Wave sur certaines mélodies. Au fil des ans Matt's précéde les modes éffémeres et ne cesse d'élargir son répertoire musical. Aussi à l'aise dans un Club que sur un Floor, il couvre avec une aisance déconcertante tout le spectre musical des 90's. La création d'Electronik Circus, un collectif de passionnés (Mervyn, Louis De Bourbon, Zentrax) permettra alors à Matt's de s'immerger totalement dans cette nouvelle vague prometteuse (Minimal Electro)... Damon Boelte is a classic cocktails and spirits aficionado, enthusiastically focusing on the works of legendary 19th and early 20th Century bartenders and authors such as Jerry Thomas, Harry Johnson, Charles H. Baker, Hugo Ensslin and Jacques Straub, as well as modern authors including David Wondrich, Dale DeGroff, Gaz Regan and Beachbum Berry, while also creating and developing his own cocktail recipes and bar methods. He has consulted for many bars and restaurants in New York City and beyond, and is currently is the bar director for critically heralded Prime Meats restaurant in Carroll Gardens, Brooklyn. His background includes working for the world-famous LeNell's LTD spirits shop, where he worked with LeNell Smothers, teaching classes on Bourbon & cheese, wine, bitters and rare spirits. He has worked with many spirits and beverage companies such as Maker's Mark, Plymouth Gin, Tito's Vodka, Corzo Tequila, the American Gin Company, Highland Park and Stumptown Coffee.
